While I was surfing the web in March of 2002,I found a site called ANIMALS FOR LIFE. aflc1@go.com. There were many "fur people" for adoption and one female bulldog mix caught my eye.She was 2 years old, spayed, current on all vaccinations and looked sooo very sad. This precious sad face stayed in my mind for several days. Later when I checked ANIMALS FOR LIFE, she was still available.
I contacted the agency by computer and phone and was able to speak with the wonderful Foster MOM. A few days later after a "PERSON" check had been performed on our family with my vet and local animal control officer,I was on my way to meet "the girl of my dreams"
I went from North Providence,R.I. to Middlebury Ct. a 3 hour- one -way drive not even sure if Miss Bailey would be coming home with us. ( Her Foster MOM was "VERY " protective.) Miss Bailey and our family will be celebrating our 1st anniversary on March 22nd. We have all had some adjustments to work out . Now Miss Bailey is very loving and Trusting with the pack. Our pack consist of 3 adults,1 child,6 cats, and 2 dogs.
Thank You ANIMALS FOR LIFE and I would like to especially thank my new friend Barbara (WizzyBird).
